In a time where the economy is not getting any better, yet my creativity and patience, seem to be thriving, I decided to compile a list of DIY's. I was inspired by many other blogs who have jumped onto this creative train before me and had great success. I did my first today. I was inspired by an early post picture (i.e. Balmain) and did a bleach/tyedye job on a pair of skinnies today! The process proved to be really easy and was all done during my break from classes today. I will post a picture as soon as possible to show the results! What the results have shown me though, is that DIY's are fun, easy, and much less painful on my wallet!NEXT UP: I would like to recreate/invent some new pieces accessories.
- Studded shoes
- A dip/dye sheath
- an ornate tulle and jeweled bib necklace
- a studded black bag
- a military-inspired jacket
- a holey-webby sweater
I am currently working on the sweater. It's an interesting process, but I think I have come across a breakthrough in technique and will pick up the needed supplies tomorrow! Also, I am feeling a much needed trek off to do some vintage shopping. I need some new basics to work with! It's such a spirit lifter; and with the lackluster weekend I had, I need it.
